Ok, so I'm really sorry the pictures suck. Dad still hasn't granted me with a digicam so you know why. hehehe. Nontheless, below are some crap pictures and my personal description of the uniqueness of every individual band =) ENJOY YE BAND FREAKS!!!
And BTW, I'm sorry to say I can't blog about VICCB and ASMA. I only managed to go for 2nd Prelims and so I didn't have the chance to watch them *kicks myself*
Before that, lemme start off by saying that this year's KLWMBC held a similarity in almost every band which performed, and that would be. . . . .
Clarinet thrilss =D =D =D
First off,
Singapore(which name I cannot seem to recall at the moment)
-One of the bands that fit right into the band "Showband", individual band members were equipped with umbrellas, cloth, twirling instruments(this one I thought was pretty coooool)
-One of their songs included Jay Chou's piano battle on bells(anyone watched Secret?)
-Clarinet thrill, had the Chinese effect, I guess the band was signifying their country, equipped with fans and gongs as well.
-They tucked in their gadgets in their uniform somehow, and halfway throughout, one guy's pink cloth was hanging out while he marched, so he took it off and placed it on the ground.
-A large usage of horsekicks, and they marched with spirit
-Overall opening and beginning was not as powerful as I'd hoped, but a nice and enjoyable performance for the public.

Cloths
Pink cloth hanging out
Fans
NamHwa Perak
-The thing that made me happiest was clarinet solo, clarinet lowthrills which were all in tune and soothing to my ears =)
-Music was overall soft, but articulate. Sound was round and warm.
-Trumpeter soloist was impressive.
-Tanah Pusaka was pretty, base line and beat fit perfectly. Staccato was brisk and clear, beat did not run.
-No colourguards.
-By the end, I could tell they were tired. Ending had hardly any impact. But they must've been tired to have produced such nice sound.
-Not that enjoyable, but great for people who have an ear for details of music.

HongKong (which I think was the purple band we saw the other time when we were in HK but I'm not sure cause their uniform has changed)
-Small band, no tonels.
-Quite offtuned, especially base.
-Phrasing inaccurate and not in harmony
-Spacing inaccurate.
-colourguards comprised of trumpeters and trombonist : Multitasking
-Implemented a pretty awesome trick, where the euphonium had neon light around his horn at one part of the song
-Clarinet thrill
-Tonel and toms solo which were pretty soft
-Insufficient hats
-I apparently didn't take pics of them? why ah? did i? can't find it now..
Denmark
-Played the DIGI SONG I will follow youuuu....
-Snare crescendo very cute!
-Carnival-like, music reminded me of farts. hehehehe
-Cute base drummer-Line had to adjust positioning-Implemented skipping to the music-Played YMCA and the public started chanting and clapping-Played When The Saints Go Marching In and the drumajor(a girl) twirled the maze under her legs! Very cute.

Chunghua Wei Sin Terrrengganu
-Opening, tonels sounded a tad blur
-Beautiful trombone emergence (I love trombone)
-Very superclean drills
-Drumajor was the centre of the public's attention(throw damn high, catch damn chun)
-Tanah Pusaka was the most beautiful I have ever heard in my entire life
-GRACE! Flutes can hear! Sweet and melodious
-Trombone so selamba je, but sound was beautiful
-Sadly, spacing inaccurate for a part of the formation
-Very grand.

Clean drills

Holland Bike Band
-Now this is one of the coolest things EVAR! BAND MEMBERS DOING FORMATION ON BIKES WITHOUT HOLDING HANDLES AS HANDS WERE PLAYING INSTRUMENTS.
-Come on, tell me how special is that, gonna need skill maaan.
-Girls wore the traditional Holland outfit mum wore before while we were living in Holland
-I rate their music 8! Even when theyre on bikes it's nice!
-Trumpeter soloist rode on a unicycle and there was a part where all the bikes were making an opening for him, and he rode through in sync with the music and quickly so the bikes wouldn't crash into him (how do I put this) Very kinteo moment for the unicyclist but very entertaining for the public!
-Band got off the bikes and took of their wooden shoes! Girls started tapping their shoes with the guys. Cute!
-Static song, conductor danced with a girl(I think hornist)
-Last song was Land Of A Thousand Dances(and their tempo much better than ours hohoho merry christmassssss lololololololol)

St Joe Kuching, pride of Sarawak
-Regained their prestige, once again climbing up the ladder =))))
-I adore their chromatic Warmup! Reminds me of KK camp when the clarinet guy next to me played and I was like gawking cause I so no0b. LOL
-Diminished chord progression. Beautiful.
-Rainforest theme, glad to say cgs pulled their act together and wore something better, and the leaf flapping actions were cute and pretty, pretty talented bunch.
-1st band for the night with so many attacks implemented in their music, something to draw the public's attention for the night.
-Music improved greatly from when I last heard them in State 2007
-Flutes were damn clear(Must be wariq's great SP-ing) and base super crisp!
-Wariq was the MOST IMPRESSIVE CONDUCTOR ever!!! =D
Indonesia(Not Pupukaltim, but one similar to them. Name is Kartika)
-Wowsers, can feel the heat man. High man. lololol. The theme was FIRE.
-Firstly, I noticed their warmup was like some popdrumbeat + illnino. Only creative bands come up with such funky warmups eh!!
-I remember being speechless for most of it
-Cgs could do splits and I terngaga there in aweee.
-Cgs changed costumes all of a sudden and I was liike WTF when did they change? DAMN COOL
-Music was da bomb, powerful and articulate
-Drills were great, but not as clean as Ch Wei Sin
-BEST energy ever for any band to have performed.
-However, Cgs were so impressive that at times my attention was diverted from the band itself and that could've been something to work on.
Calvary Canada
-Flute solo was kinda cool.
-Showed the Canadian flag, patriotic.
-The band comprised of mostly aged people, as in in their twenties
-Cgs werent exactly in good shape, not great posture
-Cgs had rifles, a couple dropped, sadly
-Quite a lot of the use of xylophone
-Many cutesy songs to go along with xylophone
-A tad messy but a good attempt

AND LASTLY,
Thai band, Watrajphobit
-I remember being even MORE SPEECHLESS, at this point of time I was ready to knock out!
-Knew they were champions for sure sure sure no doubt about it at all
-Theme : Magnet
-Cgs came off as peculiar at 1st, ppl were wondering about the men in tight blue suits and one in red in particular(Spidermiennn) lololol
-But they were magnetic, they were dynamite, they were HOT
-The band had the BEST hit on minorkeys, music was different and very much classy+funky. Minor keys aren't easy at all to harmonise, it takes forever for a band to even start READING the notes, what more to say playing together in harmony
-Best props, they had this platform sorta things made of strings and such, which had rollers at the bottom. The colourguards entangled through it like gymnasts and emerged like they were pros.
-Best creativity, they was a butterfly CG. AWW Buterfly!
-Hardly any flaws in their drills or their music. Almost perfect.
-Through my eyes, they would beat even Bodindecha. Honest.
