Ok so i was thinking about what i would most love to do as my career for the rest of my life, and i came up with..... *drumroll* the Arts!
Just imagine how great life would be if you earn the moolah standing on one spot singing the same song about a hundred times. LIKE HOW GREAT WOULD THAT BE RIGHT!
Back in the day when i was gutsier i found myself scrambling up on stage during a formal dinner for a school society, with this other girl, and we sang a duet to Celine dion's my heart will go on, not an easy song to sing at all!
and here i am thinking how the F did i manage THAT in this LIFE when my voice is really, really... not... pleasant to the ear, i mean, i like to think it's not bad, like i sing in tune (i think) but i have this sickly sweet voice that really just doesn't cut it for singing up on a stage. i am pretty sure i ruined it for the girl singing with me because she had quite a powerful voice. and when we were done i stumbled down to my swooning fans LOL and asked my friend how it was and he said "not too bad" which really is short for BAD
heh
but yea it was a day to commemorate because when i look back on those days i feel like i accomplished something the 21 year old me never will!
but of course when you think of the arts you don't just think singing, you think dance as well. and dance was something i went into fairly recently which became an immediate passion. even though the place i went to for lessons had sexually questionable butt warmups, i fell in love with the entire thing and found myself auditioning for malaysian night in uni (which was a very unfortunate moment for me for reasons not to be mentioned lol). nonetheless practices for that performance soon became the highlight of my day and i channelled a portion of my sadness into dance classes at the nearby gym. the performance went great (if great includes forgetting a few steps yikes) and from then on i knew that dance would definitely be something i would love to pursue in the future, if i could get out this rut of learning new steps slower than your grandmother.

the word art becomes artist and when that doesn't cover singing it covers painting. painting is something dear to my heart because when i was in high school i used to lock myself in my room painting my lil heart out for exbf2 in our bad boy meets goodie2shoes relationship, the typical first love type relationship. we had a very deep artistic connection, be it with art or with music (although this may have just been felt on my part fml). nobody knew about my drawings (mostly emo shit because that was the in thing when The Used and MCR ran amok) apart from me and him...and my best friend grace who found my stash of a painting in my drawer which she complimented on which can only be a good thing right!
anyway i would walk to his house on a sweltering day and leave it in the mailbox. his mom was in the military and his dad (i assumed) never checked the mail? lol? needless to say after we were over, that part of me kind of died. so yea in deference to you exbf2, you took that part of me with you so you should be real proud of yourself lol goodbye my lover, goodbye my paint lol -James Pencil Blunt lol
and when it comes to musical instruments, i have an easy passion for the piano and the clarinet. i was crazy over the piano at one age, i used to sit for hours and listen to a song i loved and compose it. i don't really have much problem composing things by ear except i need to have time and be alone, but i'm not so great at chord progressions and i can't sing and play at the same time. but as the years go by i find myself distancing myself from this passion. i'm not sure why. maybe because it's becoming so common. but i do find myself occasionally sitting by a piano when all tears break loose, pressing on keys to soothe my soul :)
oh yes and acting. acting is something i would love to try out when my confidence magically grows one day. as days go by i find myself watching movies for the acting rather than for the escape. i did some drama in high school, i acted as a drug addict partying and being chased by the police LOL no talking whatsoever so i'm pretty sure that does not count!
drama gang :p
other than that i don't do anymore of the arts but if i were to pursue something in the arts i'd truly be a happy bunny.
law school's great though (not to mention LUCRATIVE *ALL ABT DA MONEH MONEH*) and when my maturity kicks in i might just see it as an art :)
so what would be the field you dream of going into and why?
