Sometime in 2008, I had a huge meltdown. I don't quite remember what it was caused by, probably about a million and one things that attacked me from each direction :p

A friend talked to me and he gave me a link to this song.

It so happened that this friend was kind of involved with both me and the antagonist (of the time) 's problems AHAHAHA. Antagonist said one thing, i said another. Friend got stuck in the middle but friend cared, i guess.

Nonetheless, i gotta say, this song stuck with me, and i still listen to it every once in a while. listen to the lyrics. i usually don't like jason mraz because he is the most overrated singer on planet earth! but this song spoke to me and i remember crying to sleep listening to it.

i hope it cheers anyone up, especially to anyone feeling down. hold your own :)

Dressing Teddy Cum Baking

HELLO! short frivolous entry just because i do absolutely nothing around here now that it's the holidays and most of my friends aren't back from studying around the world. so what have i been up to!

dressing teddy up! AHAHA no i didn't sew that shirt because i am quite the incompetent seamstress. i stole that shirt off one of the teddies given from my old admirer. i have quite a collection of teddies from my admirers way back when i actually had a social life ;P

i almost forgot how cute my teddy is. i feel a bit sad nowadays that i abandon him when i sleep at night because i like to hug my sis' heffalump. (elephant from winnie the pooh!) heffalump is huge and it emits a nice warmness so it's really really nice to hug heffalump in an air-conditioned room

ooh i also baked a cake when mom was being all noisy about my hiding in my room all the time spamming them dramas and sleeping my ass off. it's butter cake which does not at all strike my fancies (especially not the way pantiies do HEHE) but since it was requested i happily obliged but ate only one slice, the majority of which was eaten by my sis, which is all good to make up for me stealing her heffalump :p

i also took a retarded picture or two because i discovered good lighting and was bored out of my wits :D

behold the mess of my room! i share it with sis so really, it's not all my fault :)

i am actually enjoying myself thoroughly being bored out of my wits which is not at all surprising considering i spent the last couple of years completely withdrawn from everything and everyone :p i always try to get out of this rut during my academic year so hurrah for all successful attempts but now that i have an excuse to be lazy ugly and bored i choose that anytime.

once again, plan Z of housewifing has never looked so appealing :O mayday mayday we have a problemo

nevertheless this is life for me at the moment and although i do sometimes feel like i made a mistake not looking for another internship at a different law firm for the summer, i kind of really enjoy being unemployed and hanging out with my family, being totally domestic helping my bros with their piano and homework and probably incurring the wrath of all my feminist law friends across the globe.

KK Pt 2 Pulau Sapi

sorry never blog, i am ADDICTED to pretty little liars right now! it's gripping and more mysterious than gossip girl. i cannot wait to watch what happens next! omg is emily dead? in all honesty i get scared at most of the scenes so when the creeping music starts playing i remove my earphones and just watch the scene. but that's just cause i have the courage of a mouse :)

moving on, sis got sunday afternoon off from her busy conference so we went to one of the KK islands together! we went to pulau sapi. i've been to pulau manukan before when i was in high school and did parachuting.. or paragliding.. you know the one where you're connected to a hot air balloon and you dip into the water before getting pulled onto the boat.

yea anyway this time round sis and i could technically do nothing but chill on the island hahaha because she had sprained her ankle and i had my period on the day UHUK UHUK UHUK. but that's ok. because i was being lazy anyway :p

so we took a boat from the hotel dock to sapi island! you can see sis' sprained ankle

on the boat. ok so the journey there was KIND OF scary hahaha because the boat driver was being really "fun" by like soaring the boat up a little bit each time so we went SPLAT onto the water exponentially all the way to the island T_T

my goat, that was quite a terror HAHAHA because i have the courage of a mouse remember? rollercoasters are a big no no for me (i only did the ones in sunway lagoon n that's all i can take). heck, even planes get scary for me because i hate the feeling when your stomach rises. this was exactly how that felt on the way to the island.

sis said she's so used to it because she goes offshore for days and days omg thank you Lord for not steering me to the offshore field

on the island!!! i got chicken mushroom rice with gravy and teh tarik peng and sat and ate on a mat :) no, that boy is not naked.

oh ya! so remember the hat that i wore in the previous KK entry? sis blames that hat for making us look like foreigners SAD CASE lol because when we were greeted they wanted to charge is like 10 bucks entry fee and sis spoke malay and said "bukan bayar di kaunter ka??" and they realised she was malaysian and said "oh kamu local ka? pergilah bayar di kaunter sana" and we paid like 3 bucks wtf

ahahahahha so a tip for all you japanese and hongkies out there. just google translate malay and you'll get cheap prices :p

my poor "sanded" dorothy perkins. (matt likes to call them perky perkins, he thinks he's so funny like that) i didn't pack any flipflops with me and i didn't wanna splurge on ugly flipflops at the hotel shop so i wore my flats.

so that was basically it! we sat and ate and sis took a nap and i read a book (1/8 of it) and then we went back to our hotel because we had to rush to church! it was sunday. and we are very good holy girls lol

totally want to go kayaking one day!

we took a cab to church after that and took the same cab after to a seafood restaurant for dinner. and the cab driver told sis she looked like the girl in winter sonata and sent her a text after. "cinta sonata" WTF freaky much

and yummy fish. ok so we ordered prawn and fish initially but we decided it was gonna be too much for us two so we decided to cancel the fish but they told us they had already taken out the fish from the aquarium LOL so we had to cancel the prawns instead which is in actual fact a good thing because my sis and i are allergic to prawns (not that we usually care)

and at night time sis and i went to take a walk on the beautiful resort and sat by a bar drinking long island tea. ok fine sis had long island tea and i had... fruit punch :D ngeehee whatttt... i dislike alcohol.. it doesn't do anything for me except make me cringe at its bitterness.

so we sat and chatted and two guys came up to us AHAHAHAHAH and they tried to talk to us AHAHAHAHHA and we just ignored them and they went away. YAY.

anyway that picture above was taken because while we were chatting by the bar i noticed the glimmer of orange light reflecting off the waters and thought it was just the most breathtaking sight i've ever seen ;)

was great bonding time with sis and we discussed the complications and frustrations of girl boy relationships

the next day sis was up and off early as usual for her conference and i got up and sat by the balcony :)

and looked out by the sea at the cute jet ski! they had jet skiing and those skiing things you ride on while you get pulled by the boat. what do they call that, i am seriously the least informed girl when it comes to water sports, what can i say i hate sports. but i do wanna try jetskiing someday! and snorkelling. like deep water snorkelling.

if only i could get rid of my fear of sharks. matt says the small ones he's seen are totally harmless but i refuse to believe him because how do you know! what if they are like human beings, how can you generalise sharks as a whole! what if one of em is just violent and attacks you like a piranha!

yea i had lots of time to kill so i camwhored :D

and had lunch by myself at this expensive restaurant. i had korean stone pot rice, ie bibimpap. but it wasn't that good. my comment about the resort is that everything is excellent except the food. maybe i just don't know how to choose food.

btw what are your thoughts on eating alone? i like it sometimes because i am a loner like that :p

ok then i went out to the beach again to lie down and chill, didn't last for long though because it was smouldering !

and then sis was done with her conference for good and we went to see the sunset

one thing i noticed about kk beaches is how they dig this huge lump from the shore. like when you walk on the shore deep enough you'll sink all of a sudden into huge bunch of shells and rocks and you can swim so easily near the shore. the beaches in miri are all gradual slopes so you probably need to go way deeper to swim.

and lastly we had the buffet dinner with the rest of sis colleagues

and sat nearby drinking beer. in my case, guava juice ;p

ok that was how i relaxed in the wonderful KK! we also went out to the city like twice but decided not to catch a movie because there wasn't anything nice to watch and decided against shopping because i had just come from KL anyway.
