The Middle Ground

I haven't been writing in the longest time.

For a minute there I forgot how to sign into blogger.

There are only three things that grant me true solace; one-God, two-music, three-writing.

The days have come and gone, and so have my delirious dreams.

I went through phases and phases of interchangeable emotion.

Like Newton cleverly espoused in his ingenious theory of The Third Law, i found myself charging through countless realms of extreme opposites, acting in equal and opposite reaction.

I would thrive in a crowd like a butterfly, then retreat in my shell like a snail.

I would bounce through the air like an incessant twelve year-old, then curl up in a ball of silence and cry.

I have never known a more apt theory to encapsulate my personality and my being.

It would have to be the one theory left that I do believe in this day and age; for my dreams have dissipated, straight into thin air like it were only natural.

Growing up is not hard; it's growing young again which will confuse you. Where in your adult mind is the whimsical daze you found yourself deeply warped, when you walked alone on those endless streets?

Where in your adult mind were the works of your hands sowed and then reaped, as you lent yourself out to the world with the generosity of your dainty heart and the caution of your dutiful mind?

Alas life were no bed of rose petals; life were not even a bed a thorns.

I'll be damned to find out life was truly about settling on middle ground; for it was the very thing i lived my whole life without.
