i tried.
my attention span was sporadic.
i knew what it was i was after--it was the road of tragedy.
it was the road i had once traversed, the unnerving road upon which its mud my knees had grazed while i waddled, tear-stricken and in shivers.
but alas what was so great about soundness of mind and a lifetime of eternal security?
that was the job of heaven, not of earth.
we chose to be joyous in every moment but we failed to see the underlying meaning in our existence.
were we meant to be doted on, constantly upheld? were we meant to be happy? like it was the easiest thing in the world?
perhaps if we were one bit true, we'd see in our pain the pain that which befell upon people of all walks of life.
my mind was a torture chamber.
i paced, with the legs of my indecision.
i watched as i paced.
as long as it erred in how it felt to me inside i would pace.
upon the earth and upon the wind and upon the waters.
until i find you.
