Loving in Kuching

Ok i decided to blog again hahaha

this was me and my family's kuching trip during the summer while i was back in malaysia. i didn't blog about this sooner because i knew that if i were to look at the pictures so soon after i had left malaysia i would be all sappy and emo :p

so i kept this on the backburner but now i think i should blog about it even though we didn't do much there since mom and i were really SICK! mom was worse, she had vomiting and she pretty much couldn't digest any food. and i had stomach problems which got worse when i flew back home. oh yes and it was bad on the flight too which we all know is the WORST especially when you need to drop your kiddies in the pool when there's a long ass line outside the airplane lavatories HAHAHA

my mom and a catholic nun. ok so the main reason why mom wanted to come to kuching was because she wanted to visit one of the nuns who had moved there. apparently this nun was one of my mom's old school principles in her missionary school.

awww, so cute. it really touches me that mom spends her life doing things like these. this nun is getting elderly and she doesn't have any kids to take care of her, she lives in a convent with a couple of younger nuns. but old people need love too.

met up with jordan at the spring!!! was great catching up!!!! he told me lots of stories and then we went shopping ^^

three layer tea!!! it originated from kuching sarawak btw and then proliferated to west malaysia. i don't think they have this in singapore yet, it's damn good! singaporeans come malaysia and try!

and this is kolo mee, the one famous in kuching and sarawak. sorry focus fail :p

they look the same but a true sarawakian can taste the difference !

oh ok anyway kuching has much more good food but i didn't take pictures of some and i didn't manage to eat the really yummy ones like sarawak laksa or kueh chap (which i dislike) because i had stomach problems remember.

i pretty much stuck with liquids HAHAH DAMN SAD LA

oh yes and we also went swimming one day in the hotel. the hotel swimming pool was weird, like it was right in front of the hotel restaurant and like people eating can look out and see people in bikinis which really irks me because i'm insecure about my body in a bikini HAHAHA

overall, it was not a very productive trip due to both mom's and my illness. but it was nice family bonding time :) and it was probably my 5th or 6th time in kuching so it's not like i really missed out :p

oh also, my cousin took us out for seafood at TopSpot and it was really good :) so yea, nice bonding time with cousins too.

i miss my family now! sobs!
